Anxiety & Change.
At this time, I am facing a lot of new things and adapting to a new sense of normalcy. I can admit I have been experiencing some anxiety! I have always loved the excitement of change - when it's on my terms!
Stepping out of my comfort zone with a new job
Searching for a house in THIS market
Coming into my role as a wife, friend, and follower of Christ
The very prevalent baby fever even though it's a terrifying time to even THINK about raising children
Not to mention, gas is $4.68, rent has nearly doubled, AND an already sweltering 100 degrees in JUNE?!
Um, let's turn life down a notch!
What does my Bible study tell me to turn to? Matthew 6, which many of us know instructs us to not be anxious!
"Therefore, I tell you: Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear.... Can any of you add one moment to his lifespan by worrying?" (Matthew 6:25-27)
I have figured out that
Your twenties (and life) are all trial and error. Not everything has to be definitive.
The secret to life is figuring out how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable!
(And most importantly) Place your peace in God and seek Jesus NOT this world!
"I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn vou" (Isaiah 43:2).
We are never alone in our struggles. We were also not created (and REDEEMED) to be anxious, insecure, fearful, or disheartened.
"You've kept track of all my wandering and my weeping. You've stored my many tears in your bottle - not one will be lost. For they are all recorded in your book" (Psalm 56:8).
Whatever it is in life, take deep breaths and rejoice because the battle has already been won!
