"Even my friend, in whom I trusted, one who ate my bread, has raised his heel against me" (Psalm 41:9, John 13:18).

Jesus knew someone he LOVED was going to betray Him, but He continued to give His life for us. It is important to Him that we lovingly accept one another, faults and all!

"Therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another" (Colossians 3:12-13).

Ananias, an obedient disciple, was willing to save Saul, a man "breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord" (Acts 9:1). The same man known for "causing havoc" (v. 21) was someone Ananias was SENT to help! Notice how God didn't instruct him to condemn Saul? Ananias didn't even confront Saul like an enemy but acknowledged Saul as a BROTHER! (V. 17)

What happened to Saul after this act?

Not only did Saul regain his sight, but he declared Jesus as the Son of God to all who could hear! God used a believer that understood the importance of reconciliation to transform a man who once targeted disciples! This Apostle, who we now know as Paul, was impelled to change lives by teaching about Jesus; ultimately creating more followers of God.

"And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave us in Christ" (Ephesians 4:32).

As I strive to be even half of who Jesus was, I am thankful for those who have shown me grace and unfaltering kindness, releasing judgment and presenting forgiveness.

"For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38).
